Neymar could quit La Liga with Prem giants offering £144m

Brazilian superstar Neymar has been on fire this season, and every team would love to sign him, if he gave the slightest sign of wanting to leave Barcelona.

And his father, Neymar Sr., told a Spanish judge this week that the Catalans received a bid of around £144m for his son in the summer.

It’s not too hard to come up with plausible candidates for such an offer, and the Sun are confident that Man United were the team in question, with Manchester City and Chelsea also interested.

Neymar has recently spoken of his irritation with the continuing legal disputes surrounding his move to Barca from Santos, and United will hope that they can exploit his disaffection.

But the blaugrana look set for a domestic double and a very good shot at the Champions League, and, as Louis van Gaal’s side attempt to scrabble into the Premier League’s top four, it is difficult to see why he would move.
